How to turn a stained and moldy bathtub in a sparkling one?

A dirty and stained bathtub will worsen the entire bathroom appearance, you should know that different types of bathtub need different methods of cleaning. But with just a few simple cleaning steps and the following helpful hints, you can clean your bathtub properly.


1- Porcelain Enameled Steel Bathtub:Porcelain enameled steel is a commonly used and comparatively inexpensive option when it comes to making bathtubs. They are extremely durable and are easy to clean.
Cleaning:1- Mix a gallon of hot water with 2-3 spoon of  dish washing soap in a bucket.2- Dip your sponge into the cleaning solution and start with the tub surroundings as the walls above and around the tub are the first things to clean up. Scrub the walls gently and rinse with water.3- Now scrub the sides and surface of the tub with cleaning solution with the help of a sponge.4- For harder stains, mildew and soap scum, scrub harder on areas with a old toothbrush.5- Rinse well with water, after rinsing wipe thoroughly with a clean rag.

2- Acrylic bathtub:Acrylic tubs are becoming more popular now a days, due to their adaptability, durability and  available options.
Cleaning:1- Fill a spray bottle with an ammonia-based cleanser.2- Spray the cleanser on the entire surface of the tub, and allow it to sit on the surface for 5 minutes.3- Scrub the tub in a circular motion with a wash cloth moistened with water.4- Rinse the surface with warm water and wipe the tub with a clean cloth.

3- Fiberglass bathtub:You should take care when you are cleaning your fiberglass bathtub as they are not durable like other materials and the surface can easily get cracked and scratched. The finish also tends to fade away with constant use.
Cleaning:1- Fill a bucket with warm water and add a cup of liquid detergent.2- Gently scrub the surface of your fiberglass  tub with a soft sponge to cut the stubborn dirt and grime from the surface of tub.3- Rinse away the cleaning solution with warm water and dry the surface with a clean towel.

4- Enameled Cast Iron Bathtub:An enameled cast iron bathtub is an extremely durable and heavy bathtub which is made up of enameled cast iron. It is more expensive as compared to other kinds of bathtubs but this more durable and long lasting.
Cleaning:1- make a paste by mixing baking soda and warm water.2- Apply it directly to the stain, allow the paste to sit for about 30 minutes to cut down harder stains.
3- Then use a cleaning towel to scrub away any remaining soap scum.4- Rinse thoroughly with clean warm water, and wipe with a clean rag to avoid leaving a white film form with baking soda.

Tips:
– Clean out your bathtub every week to prevent soap scum buildup and stains. 
– To stop stubborn water spots and mildew from forming, dry the tub with a towel or squeegee after each use. 
– Avoid using extremely abrasive brushes and scouring powders, as these products will scratch the surface.– Remove bath mats, products and toys after it drains, as rust forms when water trapped.
-When choosing any store-bought chemical product, make sure to check the label and see that the chemical is safe for use on the type of bathtub in your home.
