Amazing uses of essential oils in homes

Essential oils are traditionally being used for many years for the treatment of minor ailments, therapies and various other purposes. These oils are extracted from flowers, fruits, seeds and other parts of plants. Many people use these beneficial oils in homes as they are natural and safe. No doubt these oils help in a great way to get health benefits and solutions.

1- As cleaning enhancer:

The lemon essential oil will give your utensils a new and cleaner look. Add few drops in dishwashing agent for sparkling dishes. By lemon oil, you can also clean the kitchen counters and keeps them away from microbes.
Few drops of lime and bergamot (in equal quantity), baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide could be the best scrubber for the kitchen sink. After scrubbing, rinse it with warm water.

2- As a laundry freshener:

Many laundry fresheners are available in the market but don’t go for them. Home-made laundry fresheners are grapefruit and lavender essential oils. Add few drops in the dryer and your sheets, clothes and towels will scent great.

3- As an insect repellent:

Natural insect repellent is made by mixing one drop of citronella oil, Eucalyptus Oil and Lemongrass oil in one tablespoon of coconut oil. Apply on the skin and get rid of the mosquitoes.
Made your home insect-free by the essential oil of lavender, citronella and peppermint, which will act as natural repellant. The strong odour of these essential oils will discourage ants and mice from coming back. Make small balls of tissue or cotton and soak them with essential oil. Place them near the doors and windows to prevent your house from insects. It is cautious to apply them on fragile surfaces.

 4- As a scent in homemade products:

Home-made soaps, shampoos, shower gels, lotions, and perfumes can have the nice fragrance of essential oils. Moreover essential oils are also mixed for their therapeutic abilities.

5- As a refresher in the room:

The kitchen is the major place having the many odours. That is why it is crucial to keep the kitchen clean and give it a touch of essential oils for pleasant fragrance. Citrus, cinnamon or clove essential oils will help you. Add few drops of essential oil of your choice into warm water and feel the smell of refreshing scent in your kitchen!
Put cotton balls soaked in the essential oils of Grapefruit, Citrus and Lavender in equal quantity (1-5 drops) at the corners of your bathroom can greatly reduce the bad smell.
Mix few drops of Grapefruit, Lime, Bergamot and Lemongrass in a small dish and gently wipe your fridge with this solution. At the end, your fridge will get a nice aroma.
