How to make your house look brighter without extra lightning

Spacious and bright space has a positive effect on the mind as well as the health. Like reading in inefficient light also harms your eyes and makes the overall ambience dull and gloomy. On the contrary, big and bright space enhances the focus and attention ability of a person. These are the undeniable benefits of bright light but more lights in a place lead to increase cost in the energy bills.
There are few simple and easy ways to make the rooms of your house spacious and bright without extra light fixtures. Want to know the tricks?

Set your furniture in a different way:

You may not think of this aspect but furniture positioning is important to make the room look bigger and airy. If the big furniture is placed at the front of the window, the light and air are more likely to block. Take a look at the room and reconsider the setting of furniture in a way that allows more fresh air and light to enter.

Colour contrast of walls:

The colour scheme has the huge impact on the aesthetic look of the house. Dark shades of paint make the place look small and restricted, while light colours reflect the light result in a brighter room. You can make the ceiling darker or paint a single wall in a darker tone than the rest of the walls. Try it and you will surely feel a big, amazing and wonderful space.

Curtains:

Curtains are important part of the house, used to dress the windows and let the air and the light in. Some curtains have fine fibres which allow dim light to enter while covering the whole window. Others completely block the light. Whatever you choose should be according to the place. Fine curtains are better for the living room as you can enjoy the low-intensity light and fresh air at the same time.

Use of mirrors:

Placing mirrors opposite or adjacent to the window will do wonders. The reflecting nature of the mirror permits the light to enter and illuminates the whole room with bright light. If the outside view of the window is nice, then you can feel the room surrounded by good views.

Cleaning of the light fixtures:

People usually ignore the cleaning of the objects which are out of sight or out of reach. Light fixtures are one of them which cannot be reached easily. But that does not mean to keep these lights dirty! Dust creates a barrier in spreading the light fully in the room, therefore clean the fixtures at last once a week as the climate of the Middle East is stormy which lets the dust accumulated on the lights.

Hopefully, the above-mentioned methods will be helpful in making your house full of lights without spending much. Alotechnical is maintenance service providers in Dubai.
