How to clean your Mattress at home?

The soft and clean mattress is directly proportional to sweet sleep!
But with time your mattress starts accumulating the dust, grime, mould, mildew and other body fluids. These are the cause of building bad smell in the mattresses.
So how to get rid of them?
Doing vacuuming now and then is not enough for mattress cleaning. You have to learn some extra magical tactics which can help you to have a peaceful sleep at night. Give a little attention at your home, in your kitchen, right in front of you are the great ingredients that can help you in cleaning your mattress.

For blood stains:

Vinegar and baking soda are the best combinations for removing the blood stains. Blot the area with a clean cloth and sprinkle baking soda on the stain and spray it with vinegar. Leave for few minutes and clean it with the cold water.
Another way of removing the blood stains is talcum powder and water. Dab the stain with a clean cloth and apply the paste of talcum powder and water. Let it dry and vacuum at the end.

For urine stains:

These are the tough stains which are difficult but not impossible to clean after they dry.
Take 3 tbsp of baking soda and dissolve in 8 oz. of hydrogen peroxide. Add a little amount of liquid dishwashing soap ( 1-2) drops. Now dab this solution on the stained area.
With this mixture your stain will hopefully disappear but if it persists them mix one tbsp of Dry laundry detergent with 1 tbsp of water and apply on the stain. Let it rest for the 30 minutes and scrape the dried paste. Now vacuum the area.

For other fluid stains:

For other tough stains as vomit use ammonia. Simply blot the stain with undiluted household ammonia. Wipe the stained area with a clean cloth. To get rid of pungent ammonia odour, sprinkle some baking soda and vacuum it.

For tough stains:

Have your kid made the mattress dirty again?
No problem, mix the baking soda in few drops of liquid soap and then add in one cup of hydrogen peroxide. Spray this mixture on the stain and let it dry completely.
There is another way of getting rid of tough stains. Mix lemon juice and salt and apply on the stain. Dry it and clean the area with a cloth.

Now it’s time for deodorizing:

After cleaning the last step is deodorizing your mattress.
As you all know that essential oils have a refreshing and soothing smell. Use any of the essential oil you peppermint, wintergreen, eucalyptus and others. Combine baking soda with few drops of essential oil of your choice and sprinkle on the mattress. Dry and vacuum the mattress.
