5 destructive On-site search mistakes and how to fix them

On-site SEO optimization is often neglected but keep in mind that it directly hits your conversion rates. A well-optimized website is a source for engagement and retainment of the site visitors and the customers. The formula is simple, the more people like your website, the more they want to stay on it, sign up your forms and encouraged for the process of conversion.
That is why it is important to know the common mistakes and avoid them to achieve your goals.

Invisible text:

This could happen by mistake or it is done intentionally. In both the ways it affects your website.
Due to a little error in the style sheet, the text colour exactly matches or becomes transparent for the reader. This problem should be resolved and needed to be checked properly.
Making the text intentionally invisible is a technique of gaining high ranking on search engines but on the other hand, it is bad from the aspect of user experience.

Complete absence or duplicate Meta descriptions:

Meta descriptions are imperative for the users as they get a hint about what your website page is about. An impressive and optimized Meta description gets your website favoured by the search engines and increases the visits to the website.
This crucial element is missing or duplicates on many websites which is no good. To save the efforts, same Meta descriptions are added on all the web pages but this is of no use.

No autocorrect suggestions:

Typing mistakes are common and typing again the right word or phrase can be a headache for the people who are already used to auto-correct.
It is for the purpose of making the user experience better and less annoying. If your search option does not have auto-correct feature your visitors will be more likely to switch to other websites and leave yours.

Inappropriate use of header tags:

Header tags are used for the titles, headings or subheadings. There are many tags associated with their own purposes like H1 tag is used for the title and later tags for the headings and so on.
But using the incorrect tags will make the search engines confused about the title and content of your page. Skipping the tags also creates a problem for the search engine to clearly understand and interpret the page content of the website.

Excess on-page links:

Too many on page links drop the value of your content and on the other hand, Google has decreased the number of the on-page links added on a web page.
Stuffing of on-page links make the content unnatural and causing the traffic to divert to the other websites.
